It is normal for men to experience a complex range of emotions about abortion. There are resources available for men who want to talk about their experiences with someone. Beware of "Support for Men" groups that are associated with Crisis Pregnancy Centers.

How to Support Your Loved One
You can offer practical support such as
- Making travel arrangements and/or driving them to and from the clinic
- Identify trustworthy resources for information and providers
- Helping to pay medical costs such as test and procedure fees
- After the procedure, help with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning and childcare
You can offer emotional support by
- Telling them you will support them before and after the abortion
- Listen when they want to talk about how they're feeling
- If they are not ready to talk, let them know that you are ready to listen when they are
- Helping identify trustworthy emotional and mental support resources
